Event #36: Dealers Choice 6-Handed Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

What an end to this championship event! The day started with Adam Friedman<\/strong>, second in chips, looking to win the championship for the third time in a row and Phil Hellmuth<\/strong> (5th), looking for his 17th bracelet and the second this year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two biggest stories at 10 left finally somehow collided in heads-up, with Hellmuth having at one point a 2-to-1 chip advantage, but Friedman succeeded in grinding back Hellmuth’s stack and finally ended up with all the chips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here are some words from the winner: “It’s really amazing. I didn’t expect this. I just wanted to have a shot to be able to do something that no one else has done in the 53-year history of the World Series and to do it in this event is pretty fantastic. Once people play the dealer’s choice, they always keep coming back.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #37: Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em (freezeout)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Lituanian Karolis Sereika<\/strong> was crowned the winner of $1,500 event, which counted 1,441 entries. Karolis Sereika impressively eliminated all but one player to win his first bracelet. The player only had 5 WSOP cashes until then so that’s a pretty big win for the player.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sereika said in the interview: “This is the first live Lithuanian WSOP bracelet so that means a lot to me and all Lithuanian players, I’m very happy and very excited. Just so many emotions, I really wanted it with all my heart.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #38: High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In the huge $50k, Michael Addamo kept the lead in day 2 and now only 5 remains. Addamo has nearly half the chips and will return today to face Justin Bonomo (2nd) and Erik Seidel (3rd) to try to win his 3rd bracelet and extend his crazy $5M+ in live earnings since September. The players will play for $1.1M, the biggest prize awarded since the start the series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
