Event #78: Razz Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A fourth one for Benny Glaser<\/strong> in this $10k Razz Championship, now ranking at the 45th place in the bracelet rankings! Glaser came really close from winning two other bracelets a few weeks ago as he finished 2nd in the $25k event #2 H.O.R.S.E.<\/strong> and 3rd in the $10k No Limit 2-7 Lowball Championship<\/strong>, so the win is kind of a relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I was disappointed with the second and third,” Glaser said. “I was a big chip leader in both of those and it seemed like the win was in sight for both, which made it kind of more disappointing. Makes this win more enjoyable after tasting that recent disappointment.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #79: Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em (freezeout)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It only took two hours of play at 6 left for Ole Schemion<\/strong> to put his hands on his first WSOP bracelet and the winner prize of $172,499. Schemion defeated Benjamin Underwood<\/strong> in the heads-up and notably Jerry Wong<\/strong>, a 2016 November niner. Schemion is now 43rd in the all time live earnings with $16.5M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s not too often in live tournaments that you come in first place,” said Schemion. “It’s what we all try to do but it feels very good to run through a good field and win one.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It has been very difficult to play any live poker with things how they are”, he added about not playing for a while. “I was really craving it and it just feels great to come out here to play, now it feels even better now that I have won something.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #80: 6-Handed Pot-Limit Omaha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Robert Cowen<\/strong> from Wales just won the $3,000 event by defeating Robert Emmerson heads-up. The event attracted 496 entries, generating a decent $280,916 top prize for the winner. A few days ago, Cowen just finished 39th for $163k and his best live performance in the Main Event, but just topped this huge performance with a win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It’s not quite sunk in yet. It’s a big load off. I have been wanting one of these (WSOP Bracelet) for 15 years after watching the main and stuff on ESPN”, declared Cowen in the post win interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #81: No-Limit Hold’em Deepstack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jason Wheeler<\/strong> won his first bracelet by beating a 1,921 entries field in the $800 tournament. Wheeler now has $4,1M in live earnings, his best performance being a second place for $671k in a $5k PokerStars Main Event in 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My first time I got heads-up for a bracelet was in 2009 and at the time I didn’t truly appreciate what it was at the time because it was my first series you know. It was so long ago, it takes so long to be back heads-up for a Bracelet. I played almost every event that was on the series. I have been working hard and it feels good to be validated and play well”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #82: Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Five now remain in the huge tournament as the bubble just popped, leaving all players with a minimum prize of $632k. Adrian Mateos<\/strong> will return today with the chip lead and approximately half of the chips (25,5M). Keith Tilston<\/strong> is second (8,9M), followed by Ben Heath<\/strong> (6,5M), Seth Davies<\/strong> (4,5M) and John Kincaid<\/strong> (3,9M). The winner will take home a lovely $3,2M prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
