Event #82: Super High Roller No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The biggest buy-in event went to Adrian Mateos<\/strong> who scored a huge $3,2M and his fourth bracelet! All of his bracelets have been won in No-Limit and Mateos’s previous ones were won between 2013 and 2017. This is the biggest score ever for the player, who’s now in 22nd place in the all time money list with $25M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #83: The Closer – No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Another win for team Winamax and for Spain as Leo Margets<\/strong> took down the $1,500 event for $376,850. It’s the first win for a women in an open event in this 2021 edition of the world series. The pro has now totaled $1,6M in live earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I hope there is one day when there isn’t such an issue,” Margets said about the number of women in poker. “It shouldn’t be an issue. If you like it, go ahead, even if you’re a man, a woman or a monkey!”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #84: HIGH ROLLER Pot-Limit Omaha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Jeremy Ausmus<\/strong> of Las Vegas won his third bracelet, the second this year, and the big prize of $1,188,918. Ausmus previously won the $1,000 event #3 and a $1,500 Omaha event in 2013’s WSOP Europe. In the final table, he denied Phil Hellmuth<\/a><\/strong> (2nd, $734k) and Daniel Negreanu<\/a><\/strong> (3rd, $591k) a chance to write a little more of history. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was fun playing with those guys,” Ausmus said. “Like the old-school, iconic guys. I used to watch them on TV, you know, 15 years ago, 17 years ago, before I moved to Vegas and things like that. So it’s cool.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I mean, I’ve played with them a lot. A fair amount over the years. I play a fair amount of PLO, so I felt like I liked my spot, you know. Not saying they’re not great players or anything. And they have a lot of tournament experience and they’ve been here a million times.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #85: HIGH ROLLER No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The other $50k High Roller also came to an end as Mikita Badziakouski<\/strong> claimed his first bracelet along with the $1,4M prize. The 113-entry was of course star-studded, and as it started a day after the $50k, it gave the chance to Daniel Negreanu<\/strong> to make another 3rd place for $661k!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

By taking the tournament, Mikita Badziakouski should take Steve O’Dwyer’s 12th place in the all time money list with more than $30M, getting closer and closer to Phil Ivey’s 11th spot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Not particularly thrilled by the bracelet, Badziakouski declared: “Honestly, the bracelet is not as important for me as it is for many other players, I will just say it feels great to win a high roller. I’ve played many final tables. You just try to perform your best \u2014 there’s no special or unique ideas. You just do what you’ve learned before and that’s it.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
