Event #12: $5,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold\u2019em 8-Handed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The top 2 froze between the start and the end of the day, with Jeremy Eyer<\/strong> coming out on top for $649,550, seconded by Felipe Ramos<\/strong> ($401,460). Eyer captures his first WSOP bracelet after battling Ramos for three hours in the heads-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eyer declared: “I’m just trying to improve each year. I’ve been playing a lot online, improving my game, and now I’m transitioning more into live mostly, and that’s helping my game a lot. And coming here, playing with the best players, and finishing first also helps.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #13: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Event #13 makes history by being the largest Pot-Limit Omaha ever with its 3,200 entries. Joseph Altomonte<\/strong> is our winner for $217,102 and defeated Michael Holmes<\/strong> ($134,171).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My ex said being a poker player wasn’t an acceptable occupation, so I quit for a very long time. It’s a dream come true, you don’t even understand.”, Altomonte said during the interview.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After nine years away from the live tables, Altomonte mostly doubled his total live earnings, and looks to take over the poker world with six top 3 finishes this year in a live setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #14: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship<\/strong> is now at 15 left. Max Hoffman<\/strong> is our current leader, followed by Ben Yu (3rd), David “Bakes” Baker (6th) and Chad Eveslage (11th), already in the tracks for a potential third bracelet this year! Dan Shak (13th) and Julien Martini (15th) will also have their shot. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #16: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold\u2019em 8-Handed<\/strong> has started and registered 264 entries. Calvin Anderson<\/strong> leads the 93 remaining players. The event is full of top pros, and we notably find Freddy Deeb<\/strong> as the second, and Isaac Haxton<\/strong> in fourth. With late registration still open, there is a chance it could be the largest $25k buy-in event ever hosted at the World Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
