Event #61: $1,000 SUPER SENIORS No-Limit Hold\u2019em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Austria’s Klaus Ilk<\/strong> is our winner for the event reserved to the 60 years old and more. The event had about 20% more entries than last year, building hefty prize of $330,609 for the winner. What a performance for the player who had until then $30k in total live earnings! Moreover, Ilk started the day with the lowest stack and succeeded in outlasting the 12 other competitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #62: $1,500 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After four days of play, David Simon<\/strong> defeated David Prociak<\/strong> in heads-up to put his hands on his first bracelet and $410,659. Probably a life changing experience for this player who had until then $98k in live earnings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’ve played with a lot of people who have always been super positive with me and just been like, ‘It’s gonna happen for you at some point,'” said Simon. “I don’t know if I myself really believed that, but during this event in particular I just felt incredibly calm and locked in.”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #63: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After a long heads-up battle of more than five hours, Ryan Miller<\/strong> was able to overcome the second player of the all time money list Bryn Kenney<\/strong> to win his first bracelet. Here are the final results of the event:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I’ve waited a long time and I wasn’t sure if it would ever come,” said Miller, whose first WSOP cash stems from 2007, after all was said and done, “but I’m super excited to get one. I feel like I put a lot of time in poker and was deserving of one, and now it finally came and it’s great to get it in a Championship event.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #66: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Event #66 had 1,125 entries and ended yesterday with William Kopp<\/strong> earning his first bracelet and $259,549, putting his live earnings at $1,3M. The player is now part of a family of bracelet winners as his sister Katie Kopp<\/strong> won last years’s Casino Employees Event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“When we were growing up we were always about poker. We’re pretty close…me, my sister, and my mom. We all talk poker and help make each other better,” Kopp said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #68: $1,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With a total of 2,854 entries, the event build up a prizepool of $2,5M and a $228,632 top prize. Brazil’s Gabriel Schroeder<\/strong> knocked out 15 players ($300 each) to become the final survivor of the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Only three player remains in Event #64: $600 Deepstack Championship No-Limit Hold’em<\/strong>. A close three-way will attend John Taylor<\/strong> (48M), David Guay<\/strong> (46M) and Steven Stolzenfeld<\/strong> (35M). They have all secured $124,821 and will play for their first bracelet and $270,972. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Event #65: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold\u2019em<\/strong> (1,199 entries) is down to six players lead by Hungarian Norbert Szecsi<\/strong>. Angelina Rich<\/strong>, second in chips, has a good chance to become the first female winner this year. Top prize is set at $938,244.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #67: $1,000 LADIES No-Limit Hold\u2019em Championship<\/strong> is down to 47 ladies. Mary Dvorkin<\/strong> has the top stack after two days. Unfortunately many notables did not make it today, including Veronica Brill<\/strong>, Vanessa Kad<\/strong>e, Melissa Schubert<\/strong><\/strong>, Kristen Foxen<\/strong> and Vivian Saliba<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
