Online Event #13: $5,300 No-Limit Hold’em High Roller Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The tournament played online until six players remained, then moving to a live setting to play the final table and crown the champion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After five cashes this year in $10k to $50k tournaments, Sam Soverel<\/strong> took down his second WSOP bracelet ever for $393,516. Soverel’s first bracelet was won back in 2016 in Event #19: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha. He now has more than $21M in total live earnings and sits in the top 40 of the all time money list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I much prefer live. I hadn’t played online since late-2020,” Soverel said in the winner’s interview. “Honestly, I don’t really trust the online environment. Live’s fun. It’s more social. It’s way better to me.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #76: $10,000 MAIN EVENT No-Limit Hold’em World Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Day 1C has hosted 3,080 players yesterday. With all players starting stack with 60,000 chips, Christopher Brammer<\/strong> grew his stack more than six times to end up the chip leader of day 1C at 386,100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four more former champions will come back for day 2: Joe McKeehen<\/strong> (111,500), Scott Blumstein<\/strong> (71,900), Espen Jorstad<\/strong> (62,000) and Ryan Riess<\/strong> (68,100).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Negreanu will come back with a stack of 25,900<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The event has around 5,200 entries so far. With the great attendance this year, the question is: Will the famous 2006 record of 8,773 entries will be beaten?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
