Event #76: $10,000 MAIN EVENT No-Limit Hold’em World Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Late registration were still open and 196 more players joined the field today, bringing the total count at more than 9,500 entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It makes the event the fifth largest this year in terms of entries, and more than 5 times bigger in terms of prizepool than Event #40: $250,000 Super High Roller<\/strong> ($17M), reaching more than $90M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3,900 players returned in day 2ABC and 1,900 players have advanced to day 3. Day 1C chip leader Christopher Brammer<\/strong> had a second great day and bagged the largest stack with 879,000 chips. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the previous Main Event champions will also play at least one more day: Johnny Chan<\/strong> (372,000), Jamie Gold<\/strong> (248,000), Joe Cada<\/strong> (241,500), Joe McKeehen<\/strong> (220,000), Scott Blumstein<\/strong> (192,500), Ryan Riess<\/strong> (151,000), Damian Salas<\/strong> (147,500), Martin Jacobson<\/strong> (128,000) and Tom McEvoy<\/strong> (20,000).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
