Event #79: $2,500 No-Limit Hold\u2019em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s bracelet number one for Samuel Bernabeu<\/strong> who defeated James Anderson<\/strong> to win event #79 and $682,436. The total live earnings of Bernabeu<\/strong> were until then just above $10,000, but his online r\u00e9sum\u00e9 includes a 5th place for $58,388 in the online 2020 WSOP $400 Pot Limit Omaha – PLOSSUS<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I used to play a lot in Spain, but when I moved to Mexico, I took a lot of time of, but I felt like something was missing in my life being away for so long. It just feels amazing to actually win one after everything that has happened,” an emotional Bernabeu said with tears in his eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #80: $25,000 High Roller H.O.R.S.E.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Josh Arieh<\/strong> makes the double this year after winning Event #22: $10,000 Limit Hold’em Championship<\/a><\/strong> a few weeks ago, and earns his sixth bracelet! It puts him in tenth place in the bracelet race, right behind Daniel Negreanu and pushing Shaun Deeb in 11th. Arieh adds $711,313 to his total live earnings of more than $12M.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Arieh<\/strong> makes a solid case for entering the Hall of Fame one day. This is what he told on the subject: “It’s definitely in the back of my mind. This year belongs to (Brian) Rast, he’s an absolute crusher and he did what he had to do. Maybe one year when they fix the nomination process and more than one player gets in, then maybe I’ll have my turn. I’ll just keep playing and doing what I do and whatever happens happens.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #76: $10,000 MAIN EVENT No-Limit Hold’em World Championship<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

After six days of play, 49 players remains in the Main Event. Play stopped at level 30 with 100,000\/200,000 blinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the lead is now 23-year-old Joshua Payne<\/strong> (four live cashes) with 47M chips. He’s followed by Juan Maceiras Lapido<\/strong> (40M) who has more than $1M in live earnings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the other notables have lost yesterday, but Alec Torelli<\/strong> is climbing the ranks and bagged the sixth largest stack (21M).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also lost one of the bigger entertainers this year, Nicholas “Dirty Diaper” Rigby:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
