Event #85: $1,500 SHOOTOUT No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With more than $7M in total live earnings and 64 cashes at the WSOP, he didn’t have any bracelet yet…Faraz Jaka<\/strong> finally succeeded yesterday in grabbing his first in this shootout event for $237,367. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five time bracelet winner Adam Friedman<\/strong> lost in 8th place for $29k, and Yuri Dzivielevski<\/strong> was out fifth for $63k. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Pretty great and just taking it all in,” Jaka said about his feelings. “I was so zoned in that, I’m still kind of decompressing. I mean, I’ve gotten a lot of seconds and thirds, not just in WSOP but also in like WPT events and so on. So, it’s definitely nice to kind of get that monkey off my back and I feel like it’s just one of those things and I’m gonna start shipping the rest now.” <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Event #86: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty No-Limit Hold’em<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Peruvian Diego Ventura<\/strong> earns his first bracelet and the first one for his country by taking down event #86. He defeated Thomas Kysar<\/strong> in the heads-up to take home the first prize of $402,054. Ventura<\/strong> crossed the $2M mark in live earnings but this win is not his biggest ever, he made $907,080 in 2015 by finishing runner-up in the PCA Main Event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ventura was getting pretty emotional during the tournament: “I was actually getting emotional way before, like when I got to the final table I already wanted to cry. I was like, wait it’s not the moment yet, so I was trying to calm myself down. So when the moment arrived I was like so calm that I couldn’t let my emotions out until, I just started to look back at my life and in that moment I got emotional.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final nine players of the Main Event<\/strong> had the day off yesterday. Play resume today at level 38, with 600,000\/1,200,000 blinds, 1,200,000 ante!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
