Brian Rast is our winner for the PPC for $1,324,747! The American pro bracelet collection has now six items, ranking him 11th in the bracelet race, right behind Shaun Deeb who is still hunting hard. This wins also makes Rast tie Michael Mizrachi in winning this event three times (2011, 2016, 2023).

“I’m going to keep playing. And for me, the World Series of Poker has kind of become my favourite thing. And why is that because I play all the games.”, Rast said in the winner interview.

Event #44: $3,000 No-Limit Holdem

After four days of play, the gold bracelet finally went to China’s Yang Zhang for $717,879. It’s the first bracelet for Zhang but he is a regular of the World Series nonetheless with 28 cashes, all this despite not playing these last 3 years because of COVID. It’s by far the best performance for the player but still he’s now close from $3M in total live earnings.

Event #47: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E.

Brazil’s Yuri Dzivielevski just won this third bracelet yesterday for $207,688. His previous bracelets were Event #42: $400 PLOSSUS on GGPoker.com in 2020 and Event #51: $2,500 Mixed Omaha Hi/Lo 8 or Better, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or Better in 2019. The Brazilian defeated bracelet holder Randy Ohel ($128,356) in the heads-up.

“It helps a lot, believe me,” Dzivielevski said about the various chants of his rail. “It gives an extra power that I cannot explain. It’s pretty special to have all this rail like, I don’t know, maybe 50 people rooting for you is, of course, it’s pretty special. I’m feeling very loved for all this crowd. Pretty happy.”

Event #49: $1,500 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold’em

Pengfei Wang is the winner for $270,700 of the 2,226 entries Super Turbo event. Easy game for the American who just played his first live tournament ever!

“So excited! Yeah, so it’s actually my first time. It’s my first tournament ever. We sometimes play some private games and sometimes at the casino in Los Angeles for fun. We mostly play cash games; I don’t really have tournament experience. This time, it was a lot of good luck.”
