Event #4: Tournament of Champions

The Tournament of Champions is a freeroll and opened to winners of ring events from the 2022/2023 WSOP Circuit season and bracelet winners from the WSOP Online and WSOP Europe.

741 took the starting line, and the $1M prizepool was divided between the top 100. After battling four days, the top prize of $200,000 went to Ronnie Day, winner of $400 Ring Event #6 at the WSOPC Southern Indiana in May.

A big win for the player who won his first bracelet as his total earnings now tops at $508k.

Event #7: $1,500 Limit Hold’em

Ukrainian Vadim Shlez is the winner of the 527 entries tournament for $146,835.

“I’ve been working on it for pretty much my whole life,” Shlez told PokerNews. “I started poker pretty much with the World Series of Poker. … I didn’t expect to win in this discipline, even though it was my favorite game when I started.”

Shlez is not a newcomer, having totaled more than $1,4M in total live earnings, particularly winning a $3,500 Borgata event for $533k in 2011.

Event #8: $25,000 Heads Up No-Limit Hold’em Championship is now down to four players: Doug Polk, Chris Brewer, Chanracy Khun and Sean Winter only have two rounds left to win the coveted heads-up bracelet. All players have secured $192k and they will play for the $507k title. Many famous players lost yesterday, including Anthony Zinno, Landon Tice and Chance Kornuth.

Event #9: $1,500 Seven Card Stud has its final table set with a great line-up. John Monnette (4 bracelets) leads the 9 players, followed by Nick Schulman (3 bracelets) and Shaun Deeb (7th, 5 bracelets). They will battle for the $110,800 top prize.
