Event #12: $5,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed
The top 2 froze between the start and the end of the day, with Jeremy Eyer coming out on top for $649,550, seconded by Felipe Ramos ($401,460). Eyer captures his first WSOP bracelet after battling Ramos for three hours in the heads-up.
Eyer declared: “I’m just trying to improve each year. I’ve been playing a lot online, improving my game, and now I’m transitioning more into live mostly, and that’s helping my game a lot. And coming here, playing with the best players, and finishing first also helps.”
Event #13: $600 Pot-Limit Omaha Deepstack
Event #13 makes history by being the largest Pot-Limit Omaha ever with its 3,200 entries. Joseph Altomonte is our winner for $217,102 and defeated Michael Holmes ($134,171).
“My ex said being a poker player wasn’t an acceptable occupation, so I quit for a very long time. It’s a dream come true, you don’t even understand.”, Altomonte said during the interview.
After nine years away from the live tables, Altomonte mostly doubled his total live earnings, and looks to take over the poker world with six top 3 finishes this year in a live setting.

Event #14: $10,000 Seven Card Stud Championship is now at 15 left. Max Hoffman is our current leader, followed by Ben Yu (3rd), David “Bakes” Baker (6th) and Chad Eveslage (11th), already in the tracks for a potential third bracelet this year! Dan Shak (13th) and Julien Martini (15th) will also have their shot.
Event #16: $25,000 High Roller No-Limit Hold’em 8-Handed has started and registered 264 entries. Calvin Anderson leads the 93 remaining players. The event is full of top pros, and we notably find Freddy Deeb as the second, and Isaac Haxton in fourth. With late registration still open, there is a chance it could be the largest $25k buy-in event ever hosted at the World Series.
